When it comes to sedated dental treatments, the question of what is sedation is asked. In dental treatments, sedation method is used so that people can perform the treatment comfortably and comfortably. Sedation is a state of sleep and is a state in which one’s mind is clear.
Sedated dental treatment aims to reduce the anxiety that may occur in all dental procedures. This process can be preferred by mouth or injection method. This form, known as the semi-sleep form, lasts throughout the treatment and then sobering occurs.
How is dental treatment done with sedation?
First, the anesthesiologist measures the patient’s pulse and blood pressure. This tests whether the patient can maintain an open airway and respond appropriately to physical stimuli and verbal commands. In this method, which is defined as a situation in which consciousness is suppressed, pediatric patients forget that they even come to the dentist after the procedure. After the operation, the patient is required to take medication, pain, etc. effects live. It is not exposed to psychological trauma because it is not remembered. This makes it easier for the patient to access dental treatment and surgical procedures in the next sessions.
